A bone hairfork I've been working on. My hubby, Phillip designed the knots, I just carved them. It's finished, and I'll take better pics probably on Tuesday. I'll make sure that includes a shot with it actually in my hair, to give a good idea of what it looks like when worn.
I'd take pics tomorrow (Monday) but I have to go to a passport application appointment in the morning hour when I usually do photos. *whisper* I'm going to Germany for two weeks at the first of Nov....
Do you have anything planned to do with the hair? Cause if you don't, and it's at least shoulder length, I've got a couple projects that I've been wanting to do using hair, and I'd be willing to actually pay for it. If interested, note me with pics (uncut, on you.) for what I'm willing to spend. If you're doing it for Locks of Love, disregard the offer.

I want to make extensions so that I can have something to get me through the "ugly phase" whenever I decide to grow my hair back out. It's well past shoulder length right now since I haven't cut it in three years ~ but I'm an impatient person, so having extensions to play with next time around should help.
Of course, I still need to learn how to make wefts, but I'm really excited by the thought that I won't have to match any colors since I'll be using my own hair...
Anyway, I wish I could help you out, especially since I'm curious about these projects you've mentioned. I feel pretty narrow-minded because the only thing I can think of using human hair for is memento mori jewelry...
Eee...no, not memento mori stuff. Actually, braided falls, with things like carved beads involved. I've been having trouble finding the hair for this project, and my own is way too thin and grows way too slowly.

Don't take life too seriously... Nobody comes out of it alive, anyway!
Art is like Love, unless it is shared, and viewed by others and appreciated, it has no mutual return, it is empty and hollow, and lonely.

Too bad I'm planning on shaving my head soon, or else I'd ask how much it is...[sheepish grin]
